Bell Airacobra P-39
Part of the New "Wings of Dreams" collection of iconic and famous aircraft, this beautiful T-Shirt highlights the sometimes forgotten Bell Airacobra P-39.
The Bell Airacobra P-39 was produced by Bell Aircraft for the U.S. Army Air Force during WWII. Due to the lack of a turbocharger, it was limited to low-altitude use which caused it to be overlooked by the USAAF. Nevertheless, the Bell Airacobra was used by other countries in WWII with great success, notably Russia where its pilots achieved the highest number of kills of any American fighter flown by a foreign air force.
