The North American B-25 Mitchell was a widely used medium bomber during WWII, named after Major General William "Billy" Mitchell, a respected figure in the U.S. military. It gained fame after being part of the Doolittle Raid in April 1942, where 16 bombers led by Lt. Col. Jimmy Doolittle attacked Japan just four months after the attack on Pearl Harbor. This mission caught Japan off guard and showed them that their country was not invincible. A tribute to this mission, "30 Seconds Over Tokyo", was created.
